Course Description:

Students will acquire information about different industries and organizations. Students will participate in career-related assessments and interpret how labor market changes affect career options.

This course will examine post-secondary options and identify individual career and educational goals.

This course will also introduce students to Georgia’s Career Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) programs, which integrates core-academic knowledge with technical and occupational skills to prepare students for post-secondary education and the workforce.

Grading:

Summative: 60% (Major projects, tests, etc…)

Formative: 40% (Quizzes, mini-projects, etc…)

All work will be completed during scheduled lab time. Students may be required to work on projects outside of class due to the variety of software and materials required for the curriculum.

When a student is absent from school or misses class, he/she is responsible for completing any work that was assigned during the absence as stated in the student handbook.

Supplies:

Students should bring their supplies with them to class daily. Students will not be allowed to return to their classroom or locker for forgotten materials. The supplies needed for this class are:
