Mrs. Favors' Physical Science

Welcome!

Thank you for stopping by my page!

Physical Science is a course in which students explore matter, energy, chemical reactions, force, motion, electricity and magnetism. Often it is the first conceptual science that students take. Therefore it involves a lot of growth as students learn to think critically and apply the knowledge acquired through course work.

I look forward to sharing this knowledge and working along side each student as they masters the chemistry and physics content associated with this course.

Progress Learning

What is Progress Learning?

Progress Learning is a very useful tool that allows teachers to provide students with a wide selection of standard based practice questions.  These questions help students practice applying content based knowledge, while strengthening analysis skills necessary to evaluate science based activities and related questions. This intentional practice not only benefits students within the classroom, but it also exposes students to the caliber of questions they are likely to see on a standardized assessment.  This platform builds RIGOR.

Please visit google classroom to view all content material. Parents may use their student's login information to access google classroom and stay abreast of content progress within the classroom.

Unit Guides will give you a basic overview of content, standards, vocabulary,  activities, common misconceptions, proper understandings, and a time frame for each unit. While the activities and time frames are subject to change, parents often find these documents very helpful.
